Welcome! My name is Maria and I am an outdoor and adventure photographer and writer. I have a strong passion for telling stories through my photos and words. I strive to capture the organic essence of a moment outside and hope to share that feeling with others.

 

In addition to storytelling, my mission is to inspire others to find themselves and their voice through the outdoors. Too often, the outdoors has felt like a space thats only accessible to people who look a certain way. I want to use my camera to break down barriers and showcase all sorts of rad people with diverse backgrounds doing cool stuff outside.

I got my first DSLR camera in 2017 in hopes of starting up a new hobby. I had just finished grad school and was unsure of what I wanted to do next, so I turned to my camera, and I haven't looked back since.

​

I live my life by the quote, "the meaning of life is enjoying the passage of time." I like to capture the little moments hidden among the big ones. I feel like that's what makes life great.

​

I'm now working jobs in the outdoor industry hoping to inspire folks from all walks of life to connect with the outdoors, while continuing to shoot in my free time.

​

You can almost always find me outside, either trail running, biking, hiking, backpacking, or climbing. I'm a sucker for a sour beer and some tacos after a long adventure. 

​

Some of my favorite places I've been and photographed are Turkey, Iceland, Colorado, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Canada.
